Casale Montecavallo has been Elisa’s family home for generations…

It began as a small refuge made of stones at the end of the nineteenth century. A humble dwelling for those who worked the land with strong hands and patient hearts. It was not a place for nobles or great houses, but a farmhouse built with effort and love, stone by stone, by the family. At first, it was a simple, essential home, designed to provide shelter and warmth. But over time, like a tree that grows and spreads, the farmhouse was transformed. Each generation left its mark, expanding it according to the needs of the moment: a new room when the family grew, a storeroom for the abundant harvest, a wood-fired oven to bake bread together on cold winter mornings.

And then there was the stable, a large space that, for years, sheltered the animals of the house—silent guardians of the seasons that passed by. The wooden beams absorbed the scent of hay, while the sound of footsteps on the smooth stones told stories of hard work and shared life. But time, as we know, changes everything. So, in the 1990s, that same stable became something new: no longer a refuge for animals, but a spacious and bright living room, ready to host laughter, family dinners, and evenings by the fireplace.
Today, anyone who crosses the threshold of the farmhouse enters not just a house, but a story more than a century old. Every corner carries the memory of those who have lived there; every stone preserves the warmth of a story that is still being written, day after day.
